Leftist Lunacy

Got a few examples for you…and apologies for starting the weekend this way.

Chris Menahan at Information Liberation has this story about a leftist Massachusetts town (isn’t there any other kind?) and women there being confused about what someone put on a street sign.

Women in liberal Massachusetts were unsure what to think after signs were put up around the town of Winchester stating, “Islam Is RIGHT About Women.”

“It was just upsetting, I just didn’t like it, it just wasn’t necessary to be up and out in the streets,” said Anita Davison, who ripped down the signs and took the story straight to social media.

“It’s either about women, it’s either about Islam, it’s about both, I’m not really sure what point they were trying to make — either way it was just, it was terrible,” Davison said.

And other women were baffled by the sign as some told WFXT Fox 25

“I assume it’s negative,” said Dorothy Kruger, a resident. “That’s not cool, that’s not a cool thing to do.”

[…] “I think somebody just wanted this to happen right?” said Stacey Irizarry. “To get some kind of response. The sign itself is confusing it is subject to interpretation.”

While many say they are offended and bothered by the signs, others say they don’t really know how to feel about them since the signs don’t make a lot of sense.

“What is the intent behind it and what are we trying to prove by putting it on this pole so ambiguously,” said Shakeelur Rahman, the Imam of the Islamic Center of Burlington. “There is not a lot of clarity in it. I hope the person was trying to encourage people to look it up maybe or research it.”

Menahan chimed in…

They seem to want to be outraged because Islam subjugates women but they also don’t want to be viewed as “racist,” “xenophobic” or “intolerant.”

As James N. Kennett noted on Steve Sailer’s blog:

If you say

then you are guilty of hate speech. On the other hand, if you say

then you are guilty of hate speech.

Go figure.

Confusion and deception are the hallmarks of the unconstitutional law of the left-wing Wahhabi Sharia.  States with left-wing open wounds like Massachusetts also seemingly elect people of like mind including Suicide Squad member Ayanna Pressley.

Sometimes freedom of expression can be allowed to go too far as in one Colorado city.  Adam Salazar of Infowars reports

In a shocking decree that went into effect Tuesday, the Fort Collins City Council unanimously passed an amendment to their public nudity ordinance “to eliminate the prohibition on exposure of the female breast” for girls 11-years-old and up.

The amendment follows a lengthy court battle with feminists in the Free the Nipple campaign, which sued the city in 2016 after it banned female toplessness in public a year prior.

Bold…that is my point.

After spending $320,000 in court fees, the “City Council voted in May to stop defending the ordinance in court,” KDVR-TV Fox 31 in Denver reported.

“Officials say the deadline to appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court passed, so now the city cannot enforce a topless ban that only applies to women.”

Critics argued the ordinance would lead to women being objectified in public.

“Some predicted that permitting exposed breasts would decrease respect toward women and potentially put them in danger,” reported USA Today in October 2015, after a city council meeting where “A flood of public disapproval swamped the movement to allow women to go topless in public.“

Salazar commented…

Certainly no one in 2015 would have guessed the battle would end with pre-teen girls being allowed to go topless in public.

Oh, how times have changed.

And for the worst.
