Someone needs your help

I got something in my email from my local representative Fred Camillo (R).  I think this is something that deserves your attention.

The email is as follows…

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

When a member of our community is facing a challenge in their life, we come together to help. Steven Sudell, a 14-year-old Greenwich native and recent graduate of Western Middle School, is battling an illness no child should ever experience.

Last April, Steven was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer. He continues to fight hard, and his positive attitude continues to inspire others.

While receiving treatment at Yale New Haven Hospital, Steven and his family found comfort in the healing garden where they discovered Smilow Rocks from The Kindness Rocks Project. The rocks were painted with words of encouragement.

The Sudells decided to make rocks of their own to help other patients and their families. If you wish to paint a rock to support Steven, please find a spot that you deem appropriate, take a photo of the rock, and post it to Instagram with the tag #teamsudell.

The family has requested that the rocks not be placed in Cos Cob Park due to the absence of a designated and permanent location for them. Instead, they ask for the rocks to be placed at various locations around the community, state, country and globe. The intent is to spread a message of hope to those in similar situations.

Steven and his family have been overwhelmed by the support thus far and will continue to need your encouragement as he continues his fight.

There is also a 2017 article in the Greenwich Free Press which you can read here.

And here is a recent Greenwich Time story about his older brother Tyler, who recently won a golf tournament.

Let’s help the Suddells anyway we can.
