Ukraine instability hitting Russia Today

The Russian-government owned news network Russia Today, which can offer more truth than the other cable news channels out there has made worldwide headlines this week, except here in the info wasteland called the former republic of the United States.  Recently, on-air host Abby Martin took it upon herself at the end of the Monday episode of Breaking the Set to deliver a monolog explaining her own personal position about Russia and the United States meddling with the sovereignty of the Ukrainian people.

But now comes word one of Martin’s co-workers, Liz Wahl, took things further by announcing her resignation from the network.

“I cannot be part of a network funded by the Russian government which whitewashes the actions of Putin,” Wahl said adding “I’m proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth, and that is why after this newscast I’m resigning.”

It’s a pity journalists in this country cannot stand up to the media elites in their ivory towers the way Martin and Wahl did.  The reason is obvious to those who are awake.  Six major corporations run 90 percent of the media and thus control the propaganda.  And it’s said media outlets who work in tandem with government like the CIA and Military in the name of Operation Mockingbird which was written about in 1977 by Carl Bernstein in Rolling Stone magazine.

It was a part of the investigation by Idaho Democratic Senator Frank Church two years earlier into the CIA.

Ironically enough, a year ago Abby Martin did a little segment on Mockingbird on Breaking The Set.
